The studio is located in one of the buildings of the Petriny housing development, which was built in the 90s and designed by Vlado Milunič. The client's wish was to convert this unused basement into a multifunctional studio for various physical activities. The goal was to transform once a dark and inhospitable space, with the atmosphere of an underground maze into a cozy place for active relaxation. This apartment building was built on an old palm forest beside the big city. It is a raw handing over apartment, but It's original plan was excellent designed with two balconies which created a huge flow for wind to get in and out of the space. They say that yoga is the union of body and mind. Our job was to find a place where this was possible. Create a comfortable and flexible space to practice sports as well as a warm and calm environment for meditation. The initial space was a blank canvas, a long and narrow plant that we decided to divide into three sections according to the program of needs. The organizing element is a module located in the central part of the premises formed by exposed brick partitions that draw a broken path in plan and give fluidity to the circulation space. The project consists of a new yoga studio located in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, that was developed in two distinctive phases.   The first consisted of developing a concept without a site yet chosen. As requested by the clients, the only guidelines were an estimated floor area and the fact that it had to be on a rooftop. The concept design was then formulated with these requests in mind and with a capacity to be easily adapted once the site was chosen. INSCAPE, a new meditation concept, opened in Manhattan 2016. Archi-Tectonics designed the Inscape concept not only as a one-off, but also for worldwide distribution. The first PROTO space in Chelsea occupies a large 6000sf ground floor. The space contains a set of large volumes; ellipsoid meditation spaces; a “Dome Room” and an “Alcove room”, an extensive retail space, as well as a lounge for guests. It is a corner plot with two adjoining streets in the beautiful locality of Bapu Nagar, Jaipur. Client for this project is Mr. Dillep Baid Founder of Dileep industries. He commissioned flamingo architects to design a facility which can be temporarily inbuilt and can be shifted if needed. The project is located in San Joaquín de Flores, Heredia, Costa Rica. Although the location is in the suburban area, the owner had a very special idea for this project aiming for a very peaceful space.We started with a challenge from our client to define a space to get away from the daily stress. A place where he can go, disconnect from the reality and have peace of mind. Also besides the peaceful place, he requested a private place to practice meditation and for last a place to hang out and have social meetings when planned. The apartment is at the top of a building in the city centre of Genoa. It underwent a total refurbishment that pointed out the sloping roof, previously hidden by a plasterboard false ceiling, giving to the rooms a peculiar vertical extent. The wide rooms are separated by large sliding doors and the whole apartment is characterized by the pure white floor in Lasa marble. Also the fixed furniture are white varnished and the walls and ceilings are painted white, too. That produces a total white space and all the objects seem to float in it. More
