The rectangular patterns, the spacious layout and the flat roofed architecture of the urban district of Buitenveldert in Amsterdam is typical for the post-war reconstruction era in The Netherlands.
In a strip along a large park with detached houses this new villa was build after demolishing an obsolete bungalow. The architectural language relates in a contemporary way to the surroundings with its square floorplans and facades. The white stucco volume is predominantly closed but opens up completely on the garden side in order to create a strong relation with the garden with views to the river and the park.
