Aeos A913 is manufactured using a specialised quench and self-temper (QST) process. This process optimises the steel’s metallurgical grain, resulting in both increased strength and reduced weld preheat requirements. Although QST is an additional process in Nucor’s mill, it is integrated into the company’s normal rolling schedule, ensuring Aeos’s availability.
