Backflow preventers are true all-rounders when it comes to the protec-tion of drinking water hygiene: they prevent backflow, back pressure or backsiphonage of liquids posing a health hazard. For example, they prevent the backflow of heating water into drinking water in case the supply pressure drops below the heating system’s operating pressure. However, annual servicing is required for a reliable and safe operation of the system. In the past, this often proved cumbersome and time-consuming because a careful check of several components of the backflow preventer was required. Often, valves had to be removed en-tirely. The latest backflow preventer BA 6610 in-line LF by SYR makes this a thing of the past. Thanks to its innovative cartridge technology, annual servicing is child’s play: simply loosen the screws, remove the casing cover, withdraw the old cartridge completely, mount the new cartridge that meets all requirements set by standards and put the cover back in place. Your backflow preventer is fully operational and safe for use again – and secures potable water quality according to DIN EN 1717 and DIN 1988-100 up to fluid category 4.
Convincing benefits The latest backflow preventer BA 6610 in-line LF not only guarantees tested safety through the exchange of the complete cartridge unit, it also scores with other properties. The three-zone-system with a control-lable upstream, intermediate and downstream pressure zone comes with a lead-free casing for worldwide use. In addition, the in-line sys-tem guarantees a high flow rate, at the same time there is no dead space, so there is no place where water could stagnate. With its partic-ularly compact installation dimensions as well as three different instal-lation sizes (DN 15, 20 and 25), this backflow preventer truly fits every installation.
