Reference project
The original dwelling, located on the outskirts of Bilbao, is set within a stylish rationalist structure by Hilario Imaz from the 1960s. Its semi-circular floor plan opens to an outdoor plaza through large North and South-facing windows. AZAB as Architects proposed a fresh home design approach, eliminating traditional distinctions—day versus night and private versus public—to foster a spacious, fluid environment devoid of hierarchy. They focused on minimalist construction, strategically arranging objects to redefine their conventional uses through color and distinctive features that invigorate the space. The materials utilized include Berker switches by HAGER MODULEC, which provide a wide range of shapes for custom solutions suitable for any architectural style, whether classic, modern classic, or contemporary.
