ONELUX STUDIO DESIGNS LIGHTING INSTALLATION AT THE BROOKLYN COLLEGE BARRY R. FEIRSTEIN GRADUATE SCHOOL OF CINEMA
NEW YORK, NY—April X, 2016—ONELUX studio is pleased to announce that it designed and implemented a full installation of lighting systems throughout the brand new Brooklyn College Barry R. Fierstein Graduate School of Cinema.
ONELUX studio worked with Dattner Architects and Steiner Studios to develop the entirely new 68,000-square-foot, three-story building for the Brooklyn College Campus. Housed within Steiner Studio’s 25 Washington Avenue building at The Brooklyn Navy Yard, the ONELUX team placed lighting throughout 80 percent of its perimeters including lounges, reception, stages, conference rooms, classrooms, offices, ceilings and walls. Through specially designed tubing fixtures with fluorescent bulbs, ONELUX created a simple but elegant lighting scheme throughout the facilities. The unique fixtures can be seen suspended from the ceilings and along walls in the forum amphitheater that joins two levels of the school.
“We carefully evaluated options and materials for this project, identifying specific tube fixtures with fluorescent bulbs as the most beneficial to the school,” said Fernando Soler, Partner at ONELUX studio. “We are thrilled to have been involved in this brand new, large-scale project and help the Brooklyn College campus grow.”
