The Mandarin Oriental hotel in Barcelona was our first opportunity to work together with Patricia Urquiola. This is when the Conca was born, devised on two different occasions and in two different versions. The first is the larger one, with a sculptural and expressive approach – reserved for the hotel only. The second is more compact, with redesigned proportions, and is part of our range. In both cases, Urquiola wished to propose an important handle, one with character, yet light. More than a handgrip, it’s a handle with a soft touch.
