DESSO® Linon is a carpet tile with a woven structure. The name ''Linon'' comes from ancient Greece and means ''Linen''. The new DESSO® Linon collection draws inspiration from the timeless beauty and texture of irregularly woven fabrics. It infuses this aesthetic with a fresh pop of pastel color, giving it contemporary relevance.
The collection features muted pinks, mauves, and light blues, complemented by greys and other near-neutral tones. This thoughtful combination of color and texture creates a soft, welcoming atmosphere with a sophisticated yet casual appeal—ideal for today’s workplace environments. The 50 x 50 cm structured loop tile serves as an excellent all-rounder for office settings, respectfully and creatively challenging traditional design.
DESSO® Linon is part of the Tarkett Fusion collection, which combines carpet tiles with resilient and hard flooring products to provide even greater design flexibility for creating stunning and functional concepts throughout any building.

Colors
What sets it apart is its extensive palette of 18 colors. Nine of these shades emphasize the raw simplicity that enhances the versatility of this textile application, while the remaining colors invite designers to explore more playful zoning options. The structure and the special colors ensure that the tiles are unique.
Solution Dyed
Linon is made of Solution-dyed yarns, which ensures that this floor covering is durable and easy to maintain. You will have little trouble cleaning these carpet tiles, which also means that the maintenance costs are low.
Cradle to Cradle
DESSO® Linon carpet tiles are produced with environment in mind. Desso has fully committed to the Cradle to Cradle philosophy, using mainly recycled materials. This carpet tile even received the Silver Cradle to Cradle label. The tile has a 100 percent recyclable Desso EcoBase backing as standard. Thanks to this backing, the tile lies firmly on the floor and the sound of footsteps is muffled. This is pleasant, especially for people who have to concentrate on their work.
Use of underfloor heating
Naturally, these carpet tiles are antistatic and can be used in combination with underfloor heating. The carpet tiles are suitable for heavy project use, office, shop or hotel, for example.

DFDS' new headquarters in Copenhagen's Northern Harbor showcases a commitment to sustainability and flexibility. Designed by PLH Arkitekter, this DGNB Gold-certified building incorporates various green solutions, including a community café. At first glance, the headquarters resembles DFDS' Oslo ferry, but its slender form becomes more apparent with the sunrise. The elongated design and extensive glass elements harmonize with the maritime surroundings.
This building meets high sustainability standards, achieving gold DGNB certification from the Green Building Council Denmark. Key features include a slim concrete structure and a lightweight façade, which help minimize CO2 emissions and energy consumption. Additionally, the use of recyclable flooring and carpets enhances its sustainability. The interior design reflects DFDS' identity, incorporating corporate colors in the carpets and café areas. Soft-colored tiles mimic the appearance of ocean waves and are complemented by light Scandinavian materials and various types of wood. Materials used include Desso carpet tiles in styles such as Linon, Arable, Tweed, and Edges Small.
This project effectively balanced the technical and functional needs of Saffron House's two floors, enhancing culture and employee experience. This was achieved through strategic planning and a unique design identity developed with key clients and staff workshops. The result is a space that encourages flexible working, collaboration, and social interaction while maintaining a professional and dynamic aesthetic.
The area includes various functional zones, each with distinct features such as bespoke patterned acoustic paneling, a library with personal desktop lighting control, and custom joinery. These elements promote specific behaviors and practical functionality. The space holds a Silver SKA rating, influencing the selection of natural materials and textures used throughout. Additionally, the design adheres to the core principles of the WELL standard, evident in the layout and usability of the area. Materials include Desso feature carpets from the Linon Collection.
THE CITY – WORKSPACE JETBRAINS MUNICH
JetBrains' Munich office is designed to create a sustainable workspace that integrates work and daily life. Located in MY.O on Christoph-Rapparini-Bogen, 'The City' features three rooftop terraces, a cafeteria, a gym, a massage room, an event space, a music room, a makers' room, and a playground.
This workspace accommodates 360 employees in a homelike environment that promotes collaboration and innovation through visibility, biophilia, relaxation areas, and walkability. Key sustainability metrics include 20 percent of materials reused from a previous office, 45 percent sourced from Furnify's reclaimed stock, and 35 percent newly purchased items that meet sustainable standards.
Each floor reflects JetBrains' identity, offering unique atmospheres from a relaxing pool to a cozy fireplace corner. Desso Tarkett carpet tiles enhance sustainability and aesthetics while providing sound absorption to create a quieter environment conducive to communication and collaboration.
