Gira E2 switch range features a sleek design, functional materials, and advanced technology. It is constructed from shatter-proof, UV-resistant thermoplastic with an easy-care surface and offers over 300 functions.
Gira E2 design line complements various interior styles with its minimalist aesthetic. It is designed for flush-mounted installation in dry rooms (IP 20) but can also be used in humid environments (IP 44) with special sealing sets for switches, push buttons, and SCHUKO socket outlets with hinged covers.

Installation
E2 flat installation
As a further design option, all versions of the Gira E2 design line can also be installed such that they protrude just 3.4 mm from the wall. Suitable devices and flush-mounted sockets are available as accessories.
E2 normal installation

E2 surface-mounted version
The surface-mounted solution in pure white glossy is a new addition to the Gira E2 design line. It bridges the gap for retrofitting, so it can be installed anywhere where no lines or flush-mounted boxes have been installed in advance.

The extended range of the Gira E2 design line enables buildings to be fitted out in a uniform design, while at the same time varying colour choices and quality ratings. Switches and socket outlets are easily interchangeable, especially with Gira System 55 frames, allowing for a simple refresh of the room's design without replacing inserts.

Situated at over 1,000 meters in Tannheim, the largest village in central Tannheimer Tal, Jungbrunn Hotel is a paradise for nature lovers, offering year-round activities such as hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Founded in 1957 by Raimund Gutheinz, who established the region's first ski lift, Jungbrunn has evolved under his family's stewardship into a wellness oasis while preserving tradition. The hotel features 81 uniquely designed rooms across twelve categories, catering to varying preferences from rustic doubles to luxury suites. High-quality materials like barn and larch wood enhance the interiors, complemented by the Gira E2 switch series, also present in the hotel's restaurants.
The project involved a comprehensive renovation of a home to achieve exceptional energy efficiency and modern living standards. The integration of smart home technology, primarily through the Gira system, was a key focus. Residential Community of the Association for the Physically Disabled in Stuttgart
The building is bright and colorful, featuring a spacious 270 m² attic flat with high ceilings and exposed beams. Each of the seven single rooms, approximately 15 m², was uniquely designed by the residents and their families. The flat is supervised 24/7 by the KBV, offering flexibility with minimal structured times. Advanced technology ensures prompt assistance when needed. The flat is fully equipped with the Gira nurse call system, integrated with a DECT system by electrician Martin Krämer from SKS Elektrotechnik. Distress calls are forwarded to the DECT system and mobile devices used by care staff, with two devices displaying alerts in plain text. Each resident room, the common kitchen, and the bathrooms have a Gira call button for distress calls. Residents can also alert staff using a pull-cord button.
