IGLU’® is a modular recycled polypropylene formwork system used to create ventilated crawl spaces and foundation slabs beneath buildings. Installed below concrete floor structures, the system promotes continuous air circulation beneath the building, helping to reduce ground moisture, condensation, and the risk of mould formation.
The system can contribute to improved indoor environmental conditions by limiting humidity build-up within floor assemblies and supporting passive ventilation strategies. Its modular construction also allows for reduced excavation volumes and more efficient concrete distribution compared to fully solid slabs in some applications.
Manufactured from recycled plastic, IGLU’® is lightweight, reusable during installation phases, and designed for long-term durability below ground. The system is commonly used in projects where moisture management, thermal comfort, and foundation ventilation are prioritised.
