Limetry, designed by Alessandro Zambelli, represents a novel interpretation of a sysem for various configurations with a decorative approach, combining ambient lighting with funcional sotlights that generate a harmonious, delicate efec in the surrounding saces.
The key element of the sysem is an initial recangular module (12 cm in height, 4 cm in width) whose four vertices are fundamental for the connecion of multiple parts: the elecrical cables bring the polarities to the corners and ensure continuous power supply. Depending on the orientation of the module - horizontal or vertical – and on the way the various geometric forms are grouped, the result is a versatile lighting sysem.
The recangular lighting module, also available in the 25 cm size with the same width, ofers dual emission of difused light, front and back. It is composed of a frame with a built-in LED source, uniformly lighting the screen – in transarent methacrylate featuring sof lines – located on both sides. The difused efec is produced by the internal layers, composed of a light-guide and an opaline layer.
To enhance the new Limetry lighting sysem a vertical element replicates the recangular geometry of the modules, with the insertion of a small cylinder (diameter 2.8 cm). This piece equipped with a lens emits the LED light only downward and upward, depending on the positioning. The body of the lamp that emits sot lighting with a full aeshetic efec is in aluminium, and echoes the design of the other modules thanks to the presence of the sriped patern. It can be insalled by itself or combined with other elements on the four vertices to create consantly new configurations, or it can be combined with a prismatic disk capable of intercepting the light from the sot, sofening it even more.
Elegance and flair are the characerisics of Limetry, which has been created to meet the needs of users thanks to its multiple configuration possibilities: from the module with sotlight placed over a bedside table to enhance the intimacy of a sace, to the more complex image generated by the connecion of multiple units. This new sysem can be used on a track or combined with an atachment, depending on the number of elements to be grouped. In all cases, the result is a precise design, also obtained thanks to the efec of gravity.
