INTRODUCING THE LINEAR STEEL SERIES, A NEW OUTDOOR DESIGN BY THOMAS BENTZEN FOR MUUTO
Being the first-ever outdoor furniture by Muuto, the Linear Steel Series brings the ideas of functionality and longevity into the outdoors, joined by understated detailing for a refined expression. With its clean lines and timeless yet contemporary sentiments, the Linear Steel Series brings new perspectives to outdoor furniture while enhancing its surroundings.
Inspired by the ideas of meetings, designer Thomas Bentzen has infused the Linear Outdoor Series with subtle detailing through its half-circular intersecting legs, folded edges and small spacing for easy outflow of water.
The Linear Steel Series is designed in a lacquered steel that has been powder coated for a matte feel in four different colors: Black, Off-White, Dark Green and Burnt Orange.
The Linear Steel Series consists of a table and bench in various sizes, characterized by their light and almost hovering sentiments while adding functionality and aesthetic appeal to any garden, café or workplace area.

“The Linear Steel Series was designed from the idea of presenting durable materials in a sophisticated and understated expression for outdoor use with its form language inspired by the notion of meetings—the meetings of lines, the meetings of shapes and the meetings of materials. The design is defined by its straight lines for a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic through the details of its folded edges, half-circular intersecting legs and small spacing for easy outflow of water. It is through these subtle elements that the Linear Steel Series translates the values of elegance, longevity and functionality into modern outdoor furniture.”
MATERIALS
Frame and table top in welded steel with a weather-resistant deep matte powder coated finish. Table top is hot-dip galvanized while legs are aluzinc treated, making them suitable for outdoor use. Legs come with plastic glides.
