a world leader in connectivity, highlightsthe innovative LUMAWISE LED holders at the Light+Building show, Hall 4.0, Booth26, presenting industry professionals with an up-close view of the advanced solderless, easy-to-assemble, efficient solution for the LED lighting marketplace.

LUMAWISE LED holders provide flexible and adaptable connection platforms that are compatible with an extensive range of commercial LEDs. The ground-breaking LED holders enable manufacturers to deliver end products to the market faster with solutions that promote simplified integration and adoption of LEDs, operate acrossa wide range of temperatures, function with LEDs based on ceramic and metal core substrates, and in some instances provide easy-to-use interfaces for attachment of secondary optics.

“LUMAWISE LED holders improve termination repeatability and simplify the manufacturing process with solderless integrated poke-in wire connections that significantly reduce the possibility of damage to LEDs,” said Alex Hunt, product manager, TE Intelligent Buildings. “In addition, LUMAWISE LED holder products offer manufacturers a wide range of options in the marketplace and are designed with our LED partners and optics manufacturers in mind.” LUMAWISE LED holders integrate thermal, electrical, optical and mechanical connections for state-of-the-art luminaries. The holders can accelerate time to market for manufacturers, allow for minimized applied costs, facilitate easy integration, and improve assembly efficiency. LUMAWISE LED holders are built with RoHS compliant materials, operate among temperatures between -40°C and 105°C, and can withstand voltages up to 250VDC/250VAC. The holder housings poke-in terminations can accommodate 18AWG to 24AWG wiring, and are available in gold, silver and tin contact platings.

The LUMAWISE LED holders family of products include scalable LED holders that accommodate a broad range of LED package sizes and platings; Type Z holders that are designed to enable customers to develop ZHAGA compliant modules while providing designers with standard and low profile versions that feature snap-in LED retention; and custom LED holders that offer a variety of specific LED-optimized holder solutions that give lighting manufacturers a tightly integrated holder solution for their designs. “LUMAWISE LED holders can be easily incorporated into spot lights, track lighting, wall sconces, recessed down lights, outdoor area lights, and various other LED compatible lighting applications,” saidHunt. “Some of our products include optics attachment features that allow easily attached secondary optics that provide even more value and flexibility to lighting manufacturers.”
