The Mariner Planter is a 3-part commercial planter system engineered with structural marine-anodized legs on plastic isolating feet. The planter supports a rugged waterproof food-safe plastic liner with advanced drainage inside a separate outer box of tropical hard wood or realistic, maintenance-free, 4th generation recycled plastic lumber that helps save the world’s rainforests. Each planter is custom-made to meet your needs. The planter box panels can run full to the deck or be designed to leave space underneath.
We stock rugged Landscape Architect-grade 100% recycled LLDPE rotomolded food-safe stock waterproof plastic liners in 16 sizes. Each liner is equipped with advanced drainage and is sized to fit our cost-effective modular design. Threaded ports can be used to direct drainage, while 3-layer drain pads with Bio-Barrier prevent root blockage. Having a separate liner prevents contact between planting medium and the outer box for longevity and drainage, and allows for hidden drip irrigation lines.
The internal liner also provides a thermal break between the outer façade of the box and the liner so that roots are not steamed by solar thermal gain as the sun heats the box. We also offer custom-welded food-safe polypropylene liners of any size, or drip trays to capture overflow on balconies or indoors.
The hidden structural aluminum frame supports the internal liner from the legs and allows for the Lifetime Structural Warranty. Additionally, this unique frame integrates attachment points for caster wheels for movable planters, trellises, screen walls of glass, wood, and aluminum, gates, modern benches, lighting, greenhouse panels, and more. The modular design makes possible cost-effective runs of unlimited planter lengths using a combination of our proprietary extruded anodized corners and T-legs.
