The Designer Umut Yamac is a London-based architect and designer of Turkish descent. He studied design at the Bartlett School of Architecture at London’s UCL, where he graduated with distinction. He worked for a number of internationally renowned architects and designers before establishing his own practice in 2011. Yamac works on a variety of scales, ranging from product design to architecture. The common thread that unites his body of work is the emphasis placed on the relationship between the object and the user, and the desire to offer different levels of engagement, from the purely functional to the playful and imaginary.
