Fleeting Glimpses of Eternity
Plato’s phenomena (appearances) are the ideal, inherently unreal and unattainable forms. In this case, they appear as a circle, triangle, rectangle and oval. Their distinctive metal mountings hold their elusive gradient glass - a material so difficult, yet versatile and strong, yet fragile. The selection of colors also arises from Plato’s philosophy of fleeting forms. Yet, thanks to the technique of blowing colored glass directly into clear crystal, the pastel gradient creates a permanent and timeless design.
