Soul Chair

The ‘Soul’ cantilever chair is a radical reinterpretation of an archetype that has not changed for over a century. Using both computer modelling and hand carving, the structure and resulting form of this new cantilever chair has been reduced to its most elemental. A single plastic part simply plugs on to the lower steel frame creating a sophisticated, ergonmically tuned platform that flexes with the user. The floating back rest provides a dynamic relationship between seat and back to maximise comfort. The chair is also light making it easy for transportation, and can be seperated for 100 per cent recycling.
