A manufacturer of architectural downlights and decorative luminaires.
Spectrum Lighting began in 1992 with a partnership between high school friends Jeff Fein and Chris Roemlein, who decided to specialize in low-voltage landscape lighting due to limited competition. They used low-voltage outdoor PAR 36 lamps and collaborated with a local machine shop to create functional outdoor fixtures.
In 1996, the company rebranded and expanded into architectural lighting, launching downlights and decorative luminaires. The new logo represented the fun they aimed to have at work while they continued to grow. Today, Spectrum operates a 250,000-square-foot factory in Fall River, MA, employing 250 people. It prides itself on local manufacturing and providing a high-quality work environment.
