The landscapes of Burgundy inspired this collection, which captures a very rare type of local limestone origin that is now unobtainable and whose quarries have been exhausted. We visited the places and did a thorough research of materials in those territories, which we then processed in our laboratory where we developed a particular technical and creative process to recover this specificity.
We have thus obtained a surface characterised by haloing and small details, while keeping it balanced: the fossil inclusions become very light and the typical chromatic alternations are attenuated in favour of a more compact and uniform background, furrowed by veins that, although not very contrasting, that are easy to read thanks to the slight contrasts and transitions of colours. The result is an effect of soft and refined essentiality, ideal for realizations with a contemporary language, even in all-over versions
