Racha Tarazi, the designer of the winning project The Fig Leaves Collection says “Fig trees fascinate me, whenever I looked inside one I became a child who wants to play. This happy energy extended my imagination beyond what is grown in nature. It prompted me to design fig trees of my own fantasy. This is an ongoing project, which started with lighting fixtures and decorative bowls. The lights head is hand-assembled out of interlocking acrylic leaves. Through this elaborate shape light disseminates into beautiful rays, which colors can be mixed. The bowls come in two energies; swift and energetic; and they are all hand assembled with elegant and unique brushed finish.
