Versilia by Ceramiche Keope evolves: the purity of white Carrara marble meets ceramic innovation
A symbol of Made in Italy excellence, Carrara marble has boldly crossed centuries, geographies, and eras with its noble style. With Versilia, Ceramiche Keope explores one of its most iconic expressions: pure, precious white marble, reinterpreted in porcelain stoneware across three sophisticated color shades. These surfaces draw inspiration from some of the most celebrated varieties quarried in the Apuan Alps: Statuario Extra, Calacatta Borghini and Calacatta Michelangelo – materials renowned for their extraordinary purity, elegant veining and profound symbolic value.
With this new chapter, Keope enriches the narrative of the Versilia collection, distinguished by its flawless reproduction of grey marbles of rare elegance such as Bardiglio, Breccia and Blu San Nicola, capable of evoking both the power of stone and the depth of time.
Versilia’s new color triad – Borghini White, Absolute White and Michelangelo White – shapes a rarefied and striking aesthetic in which each surface becomes a mineral landscape and a sculptural gesture.
Veins, at times bold and defined, at others subtle and almost imperceptible, unfold across pure or warm whites, faithfully reproducing the visual and tactile qualities of Carrara’s most iconic marble varieties. The result is a porcelain stoneware collection designed for fine contemporary architecture, where classic beauty is reinterpreted in new and unexpected forms.
The range of finishes that capture the timeless and quintessentially Italian beauty of marble includes Silky, soft to the touch with a delicate sheen, Lappato, with a glossy effect, and Strutturato R11, ideal for outdoor applications. Adding to these are the new ULTRAsilky and ULTRAmatt surfaces, both currently under patent application.
Developed from the same innovative matrix, they offer distinct functional and aesthetic qualities, ensuring tailored solutions for different design requirements.
ULTRAsilky, extra-soft to the touch and refined in appearance, features an invisible micro-topography that ensures a certified coefficient of friction, making it ideal for “interior wet” applications. ULTRAmatt is an innovative technical surface with a natural aesthetic, developed in collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Thanks to the use of ultra-fine-grained particles, this finish reduces light reflection, resulting in a surface that is more opaque, visually deeper, smoother to the touch, and even easier to clean – all while maintaining certified non-slip performance.
With these two new surfaces, Ceramiche Keope introduces a dual technological upgrade, underscoring its commitment to research and development of advanced ceramic solutions.
These new Versilia textures expand its expressive potential, striking the perfect balance between natural beauty and technical performance. The versatility of the range is also confirmed by the availability of four sizes, from 60x60 up to the large 120x278 slab, complemented by a wide selection of mosaics and three-dimensional decors, ideal for creating striking graphic and tactile compositions.
