77m² apartment in Butantã gains a fluid layout and industrial aesthetic with the signature of RMV Interiores
Project redesigns circulation and expands the integration of environments with contemporary solutions, valuing comfort and functionality in everyday life
Located in the Butantã region of São Paulo, the 77m² apartment on Raposo Tavares underwent a complete renovation to meet the wishes of a young couple starting out in life together. Edgar, who already lived in the condominium, didn't want to give up the location he loved so much. After getting married, he opted for a new apartment in the same development and turned to RMV Interiores - recommended by neighbors who had already carried out projects with the team - to lead the transformation.
The main guideline of the project was to integrate the rooms and optimize the original floor plan. To do this, the sliding door between the balcony and the living room was removed, ensuring greater fluidity between the social spaces. Part of the wall between the kitchen and living room was also demolished, as well as the partition in the laundry area, allowing the kitchen to gain more space. In addition, a new bedroom was created, reorganizing the dynamics of the apartment to meet the current needs of the residents.
With no structural changes to the layout, the transformation took place through intelligent interventions in the finishes and visual language. With a basic contemporary style and industrial influences, the rooms were designed with special attention to textures and contrasts. In the living room, the burnt cement ceiling dialogues with exposed brickwork and black overhead lighting, creating an urban atmosphere that is balanced by the warmth of the wood and the playful touch of specific colors, such as the blue of the chairs in the German corner. The use of the crystal mirror enlarges the room and makes the most of the natural light, while the wood-paneled slatted panel and the ecological fireplace built into the rack reinforce the welcoming feeling.
The kitchen and laundry area maintain the same contemporary concept, with Gianduia Gray MDF joinery and blue formica, composing a sophisticated and functional palette. One of the visual highlights of the kitchen is the strip of hexagonal tiles that runs along the preparation wall, adding dynamism to the room. The balcony was redesigned to accommodate different moments of everyday life, with a special corner for coffee and wine, as well as a vertical garden that introduces freshness and naturalness to the space.

In the bathrooms, the proposals follow different but complementary aesthetics: while one relies on gray tiles and granilite finishes for a more sober result, the other uses white marble and hexagonal composition for a lighter, more delicate look. The master suite features a harmonious combination of burnt cement, wood and rose gold metallic touches, resulting in a space balanced between personality and comfort.
