Qatar Airways Business Lounge

Flos as Lighting

The interior of the splendid project Quatar Airways Business Lounge designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel Interiors covers an area of 50 000 sqm. The client of this project was New Doha International Airport Steering Committee in Doha and the Program includes the Premium Passenger Lounges, Check-in Facilities and Activity Nodes at Hamad International Airport.

The interiors of these lounges, for the exclusive use of Qatar Airways’ Premium Passengers, provide a micro-city inside the megastructure of a terminal—a multi-functional, multi-cultural, and inclusive place of transit. Referring to the unique local culture as well as future travel tendencies, it creates a sense of belonging through contemporary architectural and lighting solutions provided by Flos, aiming for a welcoming and comfortable design.

Opened in May 2014, the airport and its lounges are destinations in their own right, providing unforgettable sensory and cultural experiences. The interior design of Qatar Airways' lounges is defined by solid materials with the intention of evoking senses and subtly referencing the brand’s identity.

Inside this outstanding lounge, we can appreciate an exquisite lighting design by Flos, where the most outstanding lights that are integrated in this project are the table lamps Kelvin LED, KTribe  Floor (designed by Philippe Starck) and other pendant lamps (Custom Made) designed exclusively by Flos for this project.
