With the new emergency medical station on the outskirts of Singen, Riede Architekten have realized a building whose architecture is consistently shaped by the functional requirements of emergency services. The design is centered on the ground floor, which establishes a striking presence in the streetscape through its translucent mint-green polycarbonate façade by Rodeca GmbH. 

Behind the semi-transparent building envelope are the vehicle bay, the main entrance, and the parking spaces for the emergency response vehicles. The light-transmitting façade gives the highly functional base a distinctive identity while creating a dynamic interplay of transparency, color, and reflection that changes with the daylight throughout the day. At the same time, the multiwall polycarbonate panel system provides excellent thermal insulation. Above, the upper floor is set back from the ground level and articulated by gently cantilevered volumes that emphasize the building's strong horizontal composition. It accommodates staff facilities, office spaces, and a dedicated training area. Through its clear functional organization and the deliberate use of materials, the emergency medical station achieves a distinctive architectural identity that successfully unites operational performance with a refined architectural expression.
