The project is based on the idea of transforming an apartment into a space that reflects the identity of its residents. Designed for a young couple and their first daughter, the duplex was reorganized to prioritize the integration of the spaces and the fluidity of the floor plan, strengthening the connections between the areas of shared living.
The minimalist and contemporary language engages with Brutalist references through its materiality, exposed concrete slab, spiral staircase, and use of natural stone. Meanwhile, the furniture and artworks reinforce the cultural atmosphere and the personality of the residents.
With 430 m², the project consists of the renovation of an originally compartmentalized duplex apartment, reorganized without structural interventions to create a largely integrated floor plan. The continuity of materials, such as natural stone flooring and the exposed concrete slab, reinforces the visual unity between the spaces, while the open-plan kitchen enhances the connection with the social areas.
The carefully curated selection of furniture complements the architecture and contributes to a residence defined by simplicity, comfort, and an appreciation for design and family life.
