Apartment designed for a couple with two children, conceived to reflect their love for hosting and their passion for art. The layout prioritizes the integration of the environments, creating a fluid social area ideal for both family moments and gatherings with friends. The palette of warm neutral tones serves as a backdrop to highlight the personal art collection, while wood and natural textures add warmth, sophistication, and a touch of personality to the spaces.
The owners’ main requests were the full integration of the social areas and the enhancement of the connection with nature. They asked for the living room to be fully integrated with the open kitchen to encourage interaction and visual openness. They also wanted the greenery of the treetops—visible through the large openings of the third-floor apartment—to be incorporated into the interior, creating a welcoming atmosphere connected to the outdoors.
To meet these expectations, the project aimed to maximize natural light, expand the shared living spaces, and establish a fluid relationship between interior and landscape, resulting in a spacious, bright, and inviting environment.
This was an interior renovation project. The building had just been delivered, with integrated environments and some bathroom modifications already planned by the developer, but still without finishes. We developed and executed the entire final stage, including wall coverings, custom millwork, and architectural details, which provided unity and sophistication to the project. Each material was chosen to enhance the integration and create an elegant, welcoming space ready to receive.
During the construction, it was necessary to make adjustments and adaptations to the electrical and plumbing systems to meet the specific demands of the project and the customizations requested by the clients. Although the developer delivered the apartment with the electrical and plumbing systems installed, targeted modifications were made—as repositioning lighting points, outlets, and switches—to adapt to the new layout and improve the integration of the living room with the kitchen.
In the plumbing system, adjustments to the installation of faucets, sinks, and water points were carried out to match the chosen custom cabinetry and countertops, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and comfort in daily use.
The inspiration for the project came from the desire for an integrated, fluid, and welcoming apartment designed for a family that values togetherness, hosting, and art appreciation. The central concept was to create a continuous social area, harmoniously connecting the living room and kitchen, ensuring visual openness and day-to-day functionality.
The presence of nature was another key element: large openings helped frame the greenery of the treetops, bringing the feeling of the outdoors into the apartment and promoting well-being and lightness. The palette of warm neutral tones serves as a backdrop to highlight the personal art collection, while wood, natural materials, and carefully selected textures add warmth, sophistication, and personality to the spaces.
Each choice of finishes, millwork, and details was designed to reinforce integration, create visual continuity, and ensure that the space is elegant, functional, and inviting—ready to welcome the family and friends in different moments of gathering.
When selecting the finishing materials, criteria such as durability, ease of maintenance, aesthetics, functionality, and suitability to the clients’ lifestyle were analyzed. Throughout the home, Italian porcelain tiles were used, chosen for their high resistance, uniformity, and sophisticated finish, ensuring practicality in cleaning and elegance in the spaces.
In the kitchen, the island countertop features gray quartzite, a robust and elegant material capable of withstanding intense use without losing its sophistication. Both materials combine aesthetics and performance, meeting day-to-day needs and contributing to the enhancement of the spaces.
