Attic renovation

Quadratura architects have made the reform of an attic in a single house to transform it into a bedroom and playroom. This reform is characterized by a pure white aesthetic, thereby providing a clean and light to the attic as the property required.

In this loft, wood has been the material chosen for covering the faces. Walls, ceiling and floor were covered with this material. The walls and ceiling have used a wainscot painted white, based on battens. This white coating create an atmosphere gets fuzzy and quiet with light bouncing off all faces.

To reinforce this feeling it was decided to use laminated wooden flooring in light shade (Bleached White Teak), a pavement that we really liked, and continuing the same was also installed in the bathroom thus achieving unification between the two spaces.

Also, the sliding door access to the bathroom and closets are also made of wood painted white, with a specific design to adjust to roof pitch. To avoid exagerated continuity and provide some rhythm in the volume, both the door and the cabinets were made with a set of translucent crystals. The result is a refined and simple aesthetic.

Inside the bathroom, white color gives his role to a strong color. All walls are clad in purple microcemento. Even the drawers have been coated with this material, formally creating a sense of unity and purity. White shades appear to give via decorative accent lamp on the ceiling and countertop sinks.
