Auto Genial was designed to redefine the traditional concept of a car dealership, transforming it into a contemporary space where architecture plays an active role in enhancing the visitor experience and the car exhibition.
Located in a highly visible spot next to a major highway interchange, the building establishes a strong connection with its urban surroundings, asserting itself as an architectural landmark through a clear, horizontal form that is carefully integrated into the topography of the site.
The layout of the program is based on a functional distribution that efficiently separates the different areas of use, allowing for intuitive circulation between the exhibition spaces, customer service areas, administrative offices, and parking. The roof itself is transformed into an exhibition area, significantly increasing the capacity to display vehicles without compromising the clarity of the layout or the quality of the outdoor spaces.
The architectural language is characterized by formal refinement and structural integrity. The composition emphasizes continuous concrete planes, expansive glazed surfaces, and a structural framework that serves as an expressive element of the design. The minimalist material palette reinforces the building’s timelessness, while the judicious use of natural light contributes to a bright, comfortable, and sophisticated atmosphere.
Inside, the exhibition space is defined by a large, high-ceilinged hall, where the exposed ribbed slab ceiling stands out. This structural element serves both a technical and architectural purpose, giving the space its identity through the repetition of its geometric pattern and the way light highlights the structure’s depth and texture. The decision to keep the structural elements visible reflects an approach rooted in the authenticity of the materials and the celebration of engineering as an architectural expression.
The transparent facades establish a continuous relationship between interior and exterior, allowing the stand’s activity to be constantly visible from the street.
