Casa JM is a contemporary single-storey residence defined by clarity, precision, and a strong relationship with its surroundings. The project explores the expressive qualities of simple geometry, creating an architecture that is both understated and timeless.
Organized around an L-shaped layout, the house embraces a generous outdoor living area where the terrace and swimming pool become the natural extension of the interior. This configuration enhances privacy while establishing a seamless dialogue between architecture, landscape, and everyday life.
The architectural language is characterized by clean horizontal lines, large cantilevered roof planes, and carefully proportioned openings that maximize natural light while framing selected views of the surrounding landscape. Full-height glazing reinforces the continuity between inside and outside, allowing the living spaces to expand visually into the exterior throughout the day.
Materiality plays a central role in the project's identity. Exposed concrete volumes are combined with natural stone cladding featuring book-matched veining, introducing texture, depth, and craftsmanship to the façades. The restrained palette of concrete, stone, glass, and aluminium creates a refined composition where every material is allowed to express its intrinsic character.
Construction quality was guided by precision and attention to detail, with carefully executed junctions, concealed technical elements, and a minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes permanence and durability. The flat roof design, integrated lighting, and continuous exterior paving further reinforce the purity of the architectural composition.
The surrounding landscape has been designed as an integral part of the project rather than a decorative addition. Palm trees, native vegetation, and open green spaces soften the geometry of the building while preserving uninterrupted views and creating a calm residential atmosphere.
