Barcombe Village Hall

Barcombe Village Hall is a sustainable village hall that is designed to offer maximum flexibility for their varied events. Much of the design was influenced by the intermittent use of the building and therefore needed rapid response for climate control and low maintenance. The building operates as a core wall holding all services and stack ventilation. A timber and glass façade addresses the village focusing on reducing noise and light pollution for neighbours. Toward the back of the site the building opens up to the valley with a large function room, which reflects the slope of the landscape in its green roof.

Barcombe Village Hall has been shortlisted for both the BCI Awards, RICS Awards, Architizer Awards and the Brick Awards.
