Barista's coffee shop

Barista's coffee shop

Barista’s is a chain of coffee shops, thus the task of creating such a business had the aim and responsibility of reflecting the specific dynamics and had to please its current clientele.
The space was conceptualized in such a manner that it stayed true to what it wished to offer. The goal of incorporating various types of experiences within a single space was achieved by using multiple colors, elevation levels, and volumes, a bold move for any architect, yet simultaneously keeping in mind to maintain a sense of balance, unity and coherence.
The decision to use complementary colors such as blue, orange, red and green was an inspiration and derivate from the world-renowned artist Piet Mondrian, an automatic mental association of freedom of expression using colors, while maintaining certain degree of order. Mondrian is also remembered for his quest of universal values and esthetics. The remaining “colorless” surfaces were treated with natural materials such as iron and wood.
