Voor het gezin was het huis wat aan de kleine kant. Daarom wilden de eigenaars een uitbouw met een woonkeuken aan de achterzijde.
Omdat het huis smal is, was dat een behoorlijke uitdaging. We hebben de standaard keukenmaten onder de loep genomen en behoorlijk wat diepte van het kookeiland afgesnoept. Door deze ingenieuze ingreep werd het mogelijk achter in het huis in de uitbouw bij de keuken te eten.
In het midden van het huis is een kastenwand gekomen met ingebouwde haard. In de kast kan perfect het kinderspeelgoed worden opgeborgen.
De kast loopt over in een televisiemeubel met losse boxen daaronder voor de apparatuur. Met de afstandsbediening is rekening gehouden.
Voor in het huis, waar eerst de eettafel stond, is een gezellig zithoekje op een verhoging gekomen. Daar is een ingebouwde boekenkast, waar laptop, sleutels en telefoons in opgeborgen kunnen worden.
Aan de achterkant van deze kast is de garderobekast. Met plek voor een grote spiegel, een paraplubak, make up spullen en genoeg bergruimte voor bijvoorbeeld de handschoenen.
Kortom een ideaal opgeruimd huis voor een klein gezin, waarbij je nooit hoeft te zoeken naar je spullen. Alles heeft zijn eigen plek.

For the family, the house was a rather small. Therefore, the owners wanted an extension to the rear, where the kitchen would be placed.
Because the house is narrow, this was quite a challenge. We had to take a good look at the standard kitchen dimensions and consider where we could win some room. That's why we hcanged thedepth of the cooking island considerably. By doing this ingenious operation, it was possible to fit the kitchen and dining table in the back of the house.
In the middle of the room we built a a wall cabinet with built-in fireplace. The cabinet is perfect for storing the children's toys.
The cabinet runs into a lower part for the television, with loose boxes below for the tv system. The remote control is taken into account. A glass front panel was mounted for that.
In the front of the house, where first the diningtable stood, is now a cozy sitting area on a platform (20cm higher than the rest of the room). There is a built-in bookcase where laptops, keys and phones can be stored.
At the back of this bookcase is the wardrobe. Including a large mirror, an umbrella stand, room to put your make up and enough storage space.
In short, a tidy house ideal for a small family, where you never have to search for your stuff. Everything has its own place.
