The Biopark, built in 1990 was a former industrial hotel, renovated for the first time in 2006 by the architectural studio Valode et Pistre. The entire building, located near the Gare d'Austerlitz, housed laboratories and offices, dedicated to human health companies. PDA studio intervened after the departure of a tenant and the desire of the Gecina Group to enhance this real estate complex in order to make it correspond better to the new uses of office space.
It is a major renovation with, in particular, a new treatment of the threshold and the flows. This generated a new connection between public and private space. An in-depth impact study made it possible to define the targets for this renovation with a low-carbon and sustainable renovation strategy.
