This 133-square-meter apartment is located in the vibrant Bluewaters district of Dubai, offering breathtaking views that serve as its main highlight. The original layout was already well-planned, with functional zoning that required minimal adjustments. However, the finishing materials were outdated and in poor condition, so we decided to start from scratch.

The design was created for a young married couple who envisioned a clean, minimalist, monochromatic interior with natural materials. Each had specific requests: the husband, an IT specialist, needed a comfortable home office, so we designed a spacious desk with a lift mechanism. The wife, passionate about baking, required a thoughtfully planned Italian kitchen tailored to her workflow.

Structural changes were minimal. We transformed an extra bathroom into a stylish walk-in closet with a large mirror—perfect for capturing great photos.

The concept aligns with the clients’ vision: a light, airy space with calm wood and stone tones. The design is contemporary and stylish, yet cozy and livable. It not only reflects the clients’ personalities but also embraces the distinctive atmosphere of Bluewaters.

Material & Color Palette

Natural materials were a priority. To create contrast, we chose dark parquet flooring, while the wall panels and cabinetry feature lighter, warmer wood tones. Black wood accents were incorporated into select furniture pieces, complementing the black electrical appliances and adding depth to the interior.

In the bathrooms, we opted for large-format porcelain tiles to minimize seams, and in the guest bathroom, decorative plaster replaced traditional tiles for a more refined look. Hidden door frames and shadow gap skirting contributed to a sleek, seamless aesthetic, and standard ventilation grilles were replaced with modern, minimalist alternatives.

The primary color palette is based on warm gray tones, harmoniously combined with natural wood veneer, stone, and soft textiles.

Furniture & Key Accents

To maintain a sense of openness, we kept the furniture minimal, ensuring every piece served both a functional and aesthetic purpose. Some elements became true focal points, such as the oversized bed from Living Divani, paired with light wood bedside tables and exquisite PANZERI lighting.

The living room features a Ditre sofa with an adjustable headrest mechanism for ultimate comfort. In the dining area, also by Ditre, the table showcases an intricate wood veneer pattern, adding a touch of sophistication.

One of the unexpected challenges in Dubai was sourcing and installing shadow gap skirting and hidden door frames—but we made it happen!

Flawless Execution

The final result is a perfect match to our visualizations—every detail aligns seamlessly. A key factor in the project’s success was the smooth collaboration between the designer and the clients. From the initial concept to completion, there was an ideal synergy, and remarkably, no revisions were needed during the design phase.
