BROOKLIN RESIDENCE
Project´s description
Renovation of a 1970’s house with emphasis on reinforced concrete and on the structural balance. The reform aimed at maintaining the original language, and the intervention focused on the modernization of the spaces and of the vertical circulation. The flat terrain with big garden area was preserved and steel and wood pergola were added to the living-room balcony and to the second house The facade was modernized with the use of sheets of white aluminum forming the straight volumes and the protection flaps of the frames. Natural materials were used on the floors, travertine in the ground floor and wood on the first floor, and the stone walls in the format of pyramid that sustain the lateral walls were preserved. We sought to bring forward the natural light and the ample spaces of the several rooms.
