The Casa do Rio is born from a pre-existing, formerly intended for manor house distributed over three floors. The purpose of the intervention in this building was its rehabilitation and transformation into a rural hotel. It presents a dialogue between vernacular architecture and contemporary architecture, while respecting the integrity of the natural context in which it operates. The alterations carried out were made in such a way as to respect the constructive integrity of the house and, therefore, were practically imperceptible.
