In a newly constructed building, the attic floor plan proposed by the construction company has been redesigned to meet the owner's specific requirements.

The new layout is developed following the course of the ridge of the two-pitch roof: under the right-hand slope there is the sleeping area, while under the left-hand slope there is a large and bright living area overlooking a beautiful terrace with a view of the hill.

In order to optimize the space, the corridor has been eliminated, while keeping the area used by guests distinct from the private area.

The study and the smaller bathroom, which become the guest space when necessary, are immediately accessible from the entrance (one of the wardrobe doors is actually the door to the guest bathroom).

On the other side, the entrance opens into a large, bright living area with an open kitchen with counter in the background. The master bedroom area, with bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, is accessible from the living area.

The materials and colours are inspired by nature, evoking the particular clear and relaxing atmosphere found in the northernmost seaside resorts: the palette that combines powder blue, octanium blue and ice white is warmed by the oak plank flooring, an essence also used in the Scandinavian-style furnishings.

The powder blue that dresses the wardrobe in front of the entrance runs over the bookcase and continues on the masonry and door of the master suite, "drawing" a parallelepiped that fits under the roof beam.

Like a cutout, the large round cap of the lamp emerges from the blue wall, radiating a suggestive halo of light.

Flush interior doors decorated to match the walls make the surfaces continuous, marked only by the vertically hollowed-out handles.

In the living area, in front of the bookcase, the large space below the lowest part of the roof is closed with a velvet curtain. Besides characterising the room aesthetically, this solution improves the acoustics of the TV and HiFi system area.
