The intervention focuses on the interior design of a 1950s building located in the historic center of Pistoia, characterized by a majestic curvilinear staircase. The staircase, the core element of the entire residence, has undergone a significant restyling through the replacement of the pre-existing wooden railing with an ottanio-colored metal sheet balustrade, along with the application of a continuous oak covering on the existing steps.

Additionally, a new helical staircase has been introduced to access the attic, seamlessly connecting to the existing one and serving as its natural extension. The resulting staircase creates an ascending flow that intrigues and invites visitors to rediscover all the living spaces.

Particular attention has been given to the choice of materials for all finishes, ensuring they do not overshadow the building’s historical features but rather enhance them, preserving its authenticity.
