An elongated plot between party walls, with a façade facing two streets of different levels and a north-south orientation along its longitudinal axis in a recently created and half-built block. This is the starting point of the project.

The first and most obvious decision is to align the house to the north facade with the intention of avoiding a dark courtyard drowned by the building itself, this allows a correct integration with the neighboring houses and gives unity to the block.

The project is based on a clear structural modulation that is reflected on the outside and that allows volumes and patios to play in the same system of proportions, giving equal importance to built and unbuilt space.

Space and proportion are treated as a generating element of architecture. The friendliness and quality of the spaces are based on a careful study of the three dimensions of the generated void.

The access to the house is located on the north façade that bathes the study and the individual bedrooms with diffused light. This facade generates a series of open volumes that act as a transition space between the street and the interior of the house.

The life of the house turns to the south facade. The length of the overhangs is calculated to protect from the sun and avoid the greenhouse effect in the warm months but also to promote solar gain in the winter months through the glass panels.

The interior patio, with the lemon tree as a perspective background, reflects and guides the light through its white walls while generating north-south cross ventilation that allows climatic regulation of the rooms. The light from the west that the staircase receives is adequately controlled and filtered through slender vertical windows.

At the level of the lower rear street is the garage and facing south there is a generous porch linked to the pool area
