Our “Casa XI” shows how even on a relatively modest sized dwelling, with a usable floor area of around 100 square metres, the care for detail and space can lead to a particularly happy overall result, in terms of quality of life and ambience.
The brightness and versatility of the spaces, the materials, and the furnishings all lead to this result. Simple pieces of furniture (mostly IKEA) coexist with period details (the home is an “INA Casa” house from the very early 1950s), new elements, some historical furnishings, and very careful but never invasive lighting, mostly by Flos.
The kitchen is joined to the living room as a single space but is also completely separable thanks to a mobile glass wall. The bathrooms are embellished with mirrored built-in cupboards and panelling that ennoble them despite their small size. The exterior is yet to be completed and will be designed as an English garden, thus as a series of small, self-contained and well-kept parts that form a unitary whole.
