The design of this renovation to an existing bungalow house draws its inspiration from the gabled roof form. In concept, the timber lining boards of the rear gable are extruded out towards the backyard, drawing the plaster ceiling along with it. The handcrafted hard plastering of the existing house transitions into the more refined finish of the new plasterboard offering a display of varying effects of light and shadow, both subtle and dynamic.
