This is the third project in our Glass Block series.

It is structurally composed of three following materials:

1. steel flat bar ,16×65 ( taking vertical load) 2. glass block ( taking horizontal load) 3. ALC panel (taking horizontal load)

Compressive strength of glass blocks and ALC panels are almost equal, so these two can replace each other and provide unlimited wall patterns of solid and translucent wall. It can be said that this system is a contemporary alternative to Le Corbusier`s “Free Façade”.

In addition, improvement of energy and environmental design is taken into consideration. We developed a new glass block with Nippon Electric Glass, which has three thin glass layers and its heat insulation capacity and and noise barrier performance are enhanced.

The interior space is filled with warm light. ALC panels seem to be floating, and existence of structure disappears-it seems as if one is in the space of zero gravity.
