Focused on haute couture, CJ Mares is a multibrand that brings together more than 70 names in national and international fashion. Its new space in São Paulo (Brazil) at Shopping Cidade Jardim, had the project conceived by Estúdio Obra Prima, which sought to reinforce the brand's identity with specific interior elements and a floor plan that establishes a series of permanent environments.
The main premise was that customers were welcomed at the entrance and felt at home. This happens not only on the façade, in which a 'balcony' window makes the transition from the mall's aisles to the store, but also throughout the entire internal space, with multiple living rooms among the products that are sold there.
Aiming to attend the necessary program to accommodate all brands and collections, the available space was compartmentalized into different environments, each with its own identity and focused on specific categories of clothing (party and beachwear, for example), but still maintaining design elements that add integrity to the project as a whole.
The green and purple present in the brand's visual identity led to the choice of velvet and linen textures to cover the upholstery, creating a bistro atmosphere, but with Brazilian touches when using other local elements such as golden grass, straw, natural fiber rugs and lamps signed by Cris Bertolucci and Ana Neute, that adopt the same language. Antique furniture imported from Uruguay and paintings by Adriana and Carlota studio on the walls and ceiling complement the space.
