Contínua House

Part of the requalification of an 1980s residence, embracing time as a design material. The intervention does not seek to conflict with the existing structure, but rather to establish a clear dialogue between past and present, where the new architecture reveals itself as a continuous and legible layer.

The project reorganizes the living spaces around the complete integration between interior, garden, and sky, creating a house truly lived in on a daily basis — a place for cooking, playing, gathering, and simply being. The materiality of the new volume, tectonic and honest in character, contrasts with and at the same time extends the original structure, reinforcing the idea of permanence through transformation. More than a renovation, Contínua house is the construction of an extended sense of time: a house that grows with the family, embraces everyday routines, and affirms architecture as a silent support for life.
