the new interior concept

goes between design, high materials research,
and site-specific installations
In times of Covid, the Cumini Group does not stop (!) and looks forward with foresight and entrepreneurial vision - these values that always distinguished the family and the company group. So, they completely renovated the Cumini Woman store in the historic center of Udine, a real fashion lab full of stylistic suggestions, where coexist the creations of the great stylists with proposals of emerging brands.
The new Cumini Woman store - designed by the Visual Display creative studio - combines a minimal design free from ornaments and colors with innovative visual elements to engage the customer in an exclusive and elegant shopping experience.
Located under the arcades of the historic building overlooking the historic center of Udine in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the store is a reference point in the luxury fashion sector for the northeast and for nearby Austria and Slovenia and has been completely renovated to offer to the customer a unique and surprising place inside.
The ceiling of the store, in fact, is a large site-specific video installation - designed by Visual Display together with Pixel - which transforms the perception of space and light during the day and gives an impactful but ever harmonious atmosphere.
The inside plays with interesting contrasts of steel and glass with the materiality of the veiling on the walls and the textile richness of the floor carpet; while the central element of the project is the staircase that interrupts and outlines the flows of the space, accompanying the customer's gaze towards the basement.
The display system designs the wall with orthogonal geometries paying homage to the visual art of the Bauhaus and to the historical link of the Cumini family with design: since 1948, in fact, the Cumini family has been able to create an exclusive brand in the field of fashion, and in the high-end furniture for an international customer that looks for uniqueness and customization of the purchase.
All details in the Visual Display project are designed to amplify the shopping experience, even the volume of the dressing rooms with the mirrored front that increases the space of the basement by multiplying the ancient columns and cross vaults of the original architecture of the historic building. Inside it, textile boiserie with metallic reflections reinterpret the Venetian damasks in a modern way and host the client in a dreamlike embrace.
