Collaborating with Thomas Serrano, President Luxe Events at EURO RSCG Worldwide, we were commissioned to design the decor, dinner arrangement and after party for the Dom Perignon Tribute to Andy Warhol Event, at the close of New York SS 2011 Fashion Week. We sought to incorporate the bold LVMH brand artwork and commemorative Andy Warhol prints with the elegance of Villa Pacri - a multistory new venue with restaurant, bistro and nightclub lounges on Gansevoort St.
The launch party celebrated the introduction of 6 limited edition Dom Perignon bottles - each reflecting the pop-art color and brazen spirit of Andy Warhol. We created a carpeted entry outside of Villa Pacri shielded by 8' tall bamboo hedges. We treated six exterior doors with the six primary colors of the brand artwork. The VIP only guests entered and ascended the primary staircase, passing a monolithic print of the Dom Perignon Tribute Bottles and Boxes. Characterized by exposed wooden beams overhead, aged wood plank floor, cast iron columns and raw brick walls, we anchored the Dom Perignon brand in the second floor space with the graphic artwork of the six brightly colored new bottles on six towering lightboxes, installed in the factory-like windows of the venue. The dinner hall was arranged with three long mirror topped tables and seating for 100+ on clear ghost chairs. The tables were dressed with glass votives, custom Dom Perignon glassware, white china with silver flatware place settings, low level greenery and dozens of custom snapped Polaroid pictures. Along the far side wall, we created a Warhol Tribute, with an arrangement of large format prints of Andy Warhol photography and video footage from his film work. The venue's bar, bar back and side lounge areas were dressed with the boldly colored Dom Perignon commemorative boxes, bottles and large flutes. For the after party celebrations, on the 2nd floor and the downstairs lounge, we complimented the white, silver and gold venue furniture with additional brand POS, champagne buckets, glassware and bottles.
