A single-storey private residence sits on a 3,200-square-metre plot with a lake view, within a golf course environment. The central aim was to create a "Hybrid Living" space: a highly private retreat that also accommodates work for visitors staying at the compound.

The central idea of the planning is to divides the compound into four independent zones. The parking areas, gym, main living area, and guest services — which include a workspace — are considered high-traffic and are therefore placed at the front of the compound. The private spaces and four guest bedrooms are separated by a semi-outdoor space that acts as both a connection and a source of natural light and ventilation.

Lines of sight are individually framed toward the surroundings. The semi-public space is embraced by a scenic view of the lake, facing west toward the sunset, while the main bedroom faces the central courtyard for privacy and a calmer atmosphere. The four guest bedrooms are placed parallel to the garden, giving each a uniform experience.

The atmosphere of the space is specifically shaped by the choice of only a single-colour tone for the entire compound. The quietness of this monochromatic mass is brought to life by natural light, which adds an extra layer of dimensionality and a sense of time. This is heightened by a micro-cement finish, whose wall textures produce shifting shades of light and shadow through the day.

During the day, the space is filled with the subtle movement of the plants. Sunlight floods the interior, and reflections from the pond at the foyer and from the outdoor swimming pool travel upward onto the walls and ceiling, bringing the monochromatic mass to life. In the late afternoon, sunlight strikes the living room wall, adding contrast and movement. The walls become a canvas on which different emotions are painted. The transition into night is softened by a lighting design that avoids washing broad surfaces, focusing instead on specific details to draw out the textures of the wall and ceiling — allowing a completely new perception of the same architectural elements.

The architectural form is deliberately simple, spread across the shape of the available land so that it draws the surrounding context into itself. Proportions are carefully controlled through the use of straight lines. Beyond its function, an extra-thin layer of concrete roofing extends just far enough to hold the visual balance while framing the line of sight, enhancing the vastness of the lake and the field of grass reaching to the horizon — an architecture that is quiet, peaceful, and elegantly simple.
