Built on a plot with two street fronts, Lauto sits adjacent to an older building constructed along the lot’s side boundaries. As a response to this preexisting context, Lauto was designed to soften the visual impact of the neighboring blind walls while also seeking the best possible views for its units.

Being a purely residential building, the internal spaces and façades are more discreet. Even so, the project’s layout reflects a clear intention to create a welcoming relationship with the street level: instead of perimeter walls aligned with the sidewalk, the building is set back to make room for a garden that opens up to the city.
Its composition of stacked and juxtaposed volumes reveals a mix of different apartment typologies, while leisure areas are distributed across four levels throughout the tower.
