The design of this house, located in a condominium in the countryside of São Paulo, was guided by the intent to maximize the site's views of the surrounding lush vegetation and to promote integration between the built structure and the outdoor areas of the lot.

The construction consists of two main volumes: the ground floor, featuring extensive glazing, houses all the social areas of the program – living rooms, home theater, wine cellar, kitchen, service areas, and garage. The upper floor accommodates the residents’ suites.

While the ground floor volume is laid out longitudinally across the site, the upper floor is positioned transversely on top of it, creating a large veranda and gourmet area below, which are strongly connected to the living room, solarium, and pool. This arrangement of overlapping blocks also results in an uncovered terrace above the living room, providing a private outdoor area for the bedrooms.

To emphasize the concept of stacked volumes, the façades of each block are treated distinctly. The common areas block is almost entirely transparent, enclosed with glass, while the upper volume is defined by large slatted wood panels that cover the entire parallelepiped through fixed surfaces and folding doors.

Due to the site’s considerable slope, the house was positioned at its midpoint, ensuring a degree of privacy for the residents while allowing for sweeping views of the surroundings. The pool, located at the front of the lot, takes full advantage of this view and extends beneath the house, making the living room appear to float above its water mirror.

The interior design, also created by FGMF, was conceived to fully integrate with the building’s architecture, while bringing warmth and comfort to every space within this highly transparent home.
