GilBartolome Architects participated in a consortium along RCR Arquitectes, META, SENER and FBArquitectura for the development of a Satellite Terminal in El Prat Barcelona Airport.
The objective was to generate a new HUB for international travellers. The main concept of the terminal was : “ A rambla for the people”, the recreation of a Mediterranean Street, enveloped by pines. A terminal in relation with open air courtyards filled with pine trees that create a welcoming and biophlic Mediterranean environment both in Departures and Arrivals. The Satellite Terminal was connected to the Processor via an underground People Mover.
